Garuda Aerospace signs MoU with Rallis India
Rallis will supply pesticides and crop nutrients to Garuda Aerospace for a pilot demonstration and spraying of pesticides on fields through drones mainly in the state of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
The companies said they are coming together to work for the betterment of farmers by leveraging technology in agricultural operations. They said that while Garuda Aerospace is known to provide the best drone solution in the agriculture sector, Rallis India is known for its penetrative distribution network.
“The partnership will demonstrate end-to-end drone service solutions to farmers and the channel partners,” Agnishwar Jayaprakash, founder and CEO, Garuda Aerospace said in a statement. “This shall also make Agri operations convenient for Drone pilots to conduct better demonstrations for the farmers. We seek to make farmers Atamanirbhar and create employment opportunities for them.”
The drone pilots will conduct demonstrations on approximately 1000 acres of land on crops such as Paddy, Onion, Bengal Gram, Wheat and Vegetables. This drone-based solution will also enable businesses to achieve their sustainability goals by helping drive the efficient use of resources.
“This collaboration is aimed at not only educating farmers and channel partners but also to provide first-hand experience of the advantages of drone applications. We are continuously focused on making farming more resilient. We are certain that this collaboration will further augment this endeavour,” S Nagarajan, Chief Operating Officer, Rallis India said.

Garuda Aerospace boasts a fleet of 400 drones and over 500 pilots in 26 locations across the country while Rallis India holds a strong distribution network for crop care and seeds.
Crop care reaches farmers through a network of 4000 dealers and 60000 retailers while seeds are sold through 2500 dealers and 40,000 retailers, covering 80% of all the districts of India and has customers in over 58 countries; over various crop segments and across the cultural and linguistic borders, the company said.
