As Vogue editors, we often wax poetic on the latest runway must-haves and home-decor treasures, but not every item we gush about on this website ultimately ends up in our closets and homes. Our discoveries are nice to behold—they’re lovely to look at and inspire fun conversation—however, of all these cool things to buy, what did we actually end up buying? Each month we’ll highlight those special finds our editors welcomed into their lives—all the things that made us buyers rejoice.
As we approach the peak of the holiday season, Vogue editors are thinking about ways to show their loved ones they care. They also have festive soirées on the brain—and what they’ll be wearing to them in particular.
On the gift-giving front, Jewelry Director Daisy Shaw-Ellis found the cutest watches for kids. It’s the perfect find for those little ones who are learning how to tell time. While Vogue’s Senior Commerce Editor, Julie Tong, is preparing for an epic holiday gathering with the help of some of the treasures she discovered on Smallable’s website.
Of course, we did a little shopping for ourselves during November, too—especially with all of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday specials that took place. For a closer look at the items Vogue editors loved most last month, read on.

Uniqlo makes the best cashmere gloves, and they are such a steal! I stocked up on a few pairs as soon as it started getting cold. I also snagged a pair of versatile By Far boots on Black Friday. I have been eyeing them for a while and know they will become a staple in my wardrobe this winter.

I’ve told myself I ought to invest in a proper wool coat for several years now, but I only went for it this month. From the moment I saw this Marina Rinaldi piece, I knew I had to have it. Everything about it screams autumn, from the warm rust orange shade (reminds me of the changing leaves) to the cozy soft material. Now that I’ve finally procured a coat, I just need to stock up on coordinating scarves!

I’m throwing a holiday party at my apartment in December and have started to go into extreme hostess mode. I needed to buy extra seating and didn’t want to purchase ones that were poor quality and wouldn’t last, so I opted for these chic HKLiving stools that will pair nicely with my cane Breur chairs. Further, I’m a big fan of Ferm Living and their marbled tapered candles and napkins will help give the party a festive vibe without the traditional red and green color palette. And finally, I couldn’t help, but upgrade my carafe to this elegant version by the Scandinavian label too.

I’m an old soul, and this is very clearly exhibited in my most recent purchase: A cashmere twin set (the tank/shell here is not pictured). The multiple layers keep me warm and the sleeveless tank prevents bulk in the arms. I opted for a set in a heathered gray and have been wearing it with black cigarette pants and a chunky gold necklace. Plus, I’m a sucker for private label cashmere collections—from Neiman Marcus to Saks to Henri Bendel’s back in the day. Good thing nostalgia is back.

I’ve always been more of an umbrella girl than someone who believes in raincoats. Though lately the crazy rain storms in New York—climate change is very real folks!—have me thinking differently. I’ve been soaked in a sudden downpour one too many times! Which is why last month I broke down and invested in a legit raincoat for the first time. Kassl was my first stop since they make really solid styles that are as durable as the traditional fisherman’s coat and a lot better looking too.

I’ve been on the hunt for a new pair of blue jeans with no success until I came across orSlow at a shop in Brooklyn. The brand is based in Japan and the shop only had limited inventory, but I was able to find the 105’s in my size. The fit and craftsmanship are incredible; these are definitely my new go-to’s.

At first glance, I became infatuated with the intricate, woven designs. And once I discovered that every piece was made with sustainable materials and handcrafted by local female artisans in Colombia, I was sold. The only hard part here was deciding which color to choose!

I’ve always loved the classic collegiate American style, and varsity jackets are emblematic of that to me. When I was a fashion assistant, I worked on Abercrombie and Fitch catalogs which captured classic Americana and spent a lot of time near Harvard and NYU, even though I studied at Marymount College in Manhattan. This take on it by Vaccarello is a mix of Parisian chic and American timelessness.

This elegant and deceptively simple black box from Teenage Engineering is described as a “magic radio”—which is shorthand for “it lets you sample and remix whatever you’re listening to, or slow it down, or loop it—oh yeah and on top of that it’s the best Bluetooth speaker you’ve ever heard.” I want to thank whoever designed this for putting visceral fun back into audio design.
