Legendary director K Vishwanath, breathed his last at his residence in Hyderabad yesterday. The 92 year old five National Film Awards winner was suffering from age related issues. The entire film fraternity and fans have been mourning the demise of the noted director, who as also acted in a number of films. From Ulganayagan Kamal Haasan, who has acted with him in ‘Uthama Villain’ to music composer AR Rahman, celebrities from the Tamil film industry have been offering their condolence to the family.
Actor Kamal Haasan penned a note saying, “Kalathapasvi K Viswanath gaaru fully understood the transcience of life and immortality of art. Hence his art will be celebrated beyond his lifetime and reign. Long live his art.”

Sharing a picture of himself with K Viswanath, music composer AR Rahman wrote, “Anjali ???? tradition, warmth, heart, music, dance, love …..your movies filled my childhood with humaneness and wonder! #ripkviswanathji ????????????????????”

Sharing pictures of herself from the sets of the film she had worked with him, Radikaa Sarathkumar wrote, “#KViswanath garu????shanti to a legend.
