From chatting before toss to hug after match – Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni’s ‘bromance’ got netizens talking
The match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 was a clash between fire and ice. Virat Kohli’s men took on the MS Dhoni-led Yellow Army, but could not finish with a win and lost by 6 wickets.
While the match saw the explosive sixes being hit at the Sharjah Stadium, it also saw the love between the captains Kohli and Dhoni. Before the toss, which was delayed due to the sand storm, saw the two skippers chatting, laughing and enjoying their time together.
However, after the match, it was the back hug that Kohli gave Dhoni that grabbed the attention of netizens. In a post-match clip, Dhoni can be seen standing in a huddle with his CSK teammates when Kohli casually approached him in a cheerful mood and went on to hug him.
Since then, the video has been making rounds on the internet and Twitterati has been sharing the same talking about the special bond between the two captains.

As for the clash, the 35th match of the IPL saw CSK reach the top of the table in Phase 2 while RCB faced their seventh consecutive loss in UAE.
CSK openers Ruturaj Gaikwad (38) and Faf du Plessis (31) gave the needed start to help the side inch closer to the 157 runs target set by RCB. Despite the openers being dismissed, Moeen Ali (23), Ambati Rayudu (32) and a cameo by Suresh Raina (17*) and MS Dhoni (11*) sealed the deal.
Earlier, Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli starred with the bat as RCB posted the score of 156/6 in their allotted twenty overs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday.
