French news channel calls Shah Rukh Khan ‘Man of the Day’ after ‘Pathaan’s box office rampage – Times of India

Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited action entertainer ‘Pathaan’ has been breaking records at the box office since its release on January 25. On seeing the overwhelming response to the film, even director Siddharth Anand has said that he is “feeling incredibly overwhelmed”. The spy-thriller saw SRK’s return to the big screens after four long years becoming the biggest opener in Hindi cinema with a record of ₹ 55 crore.
Not just in India but ‘Pathaan’ is making waves worldwide as well. Such is the frenzy surrounding ‘Pathaan’ that a French news channel recently featured Shah Rukh Khan and his film’s remarkable box office run. One of his fan clubs shared a video clip from the news channel which called Shah Rukh as the ‘man of the day’. The news channel had a special segment dedicated to SRK and how his global superstardom is increasing each day. The video also showed how his fans and followers have showered their unconditional love on ‘Pathaan’.

Sharing the video clip, the Bollywood superstar’s fan club wrote on Twitter, “MAN OF THE DAY — SHAH RUKH KHAN @iamsrk was featured on a French News show Le 1245 where they talked about #Pathaan, his global superstardom, and how the love of his FANs trumps hate. #ShahRukhKhan #SRK.”
Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the lead, ‘Pathaan’, in just two days, has entered the elite ₹ 200 club since the worldwide ticket sales for two days add up to over ₹ 200 crores. On the second day, Pathaan’s Hindi version earned around ₹ 70 croreand this is the first Hindi film to achieve this number in a single day’s colections. According to reports, ‘Pathaan’s Hindi version now has a total of ₹ 123 crore.
