Flyers’ Konecny out Saturday vs. Canadiens with upper-body injury

Philadelphia Flyers forward Travis Konecny will miss Saturday’s game against the Montreal Canadiens with an upper-body injury.

Konecny, who suffered what appeared to be a hand injury Thursday against the Boston Bruins, is also leaving the team and returning home to Philadelphia to be evaluated.

The 25-year-old is currently Philadelphia’s leading scorer, with seven goals and 12 assists through 17 games.

The Flyers enter the game sixth in the Metropolitan Division with a 7-7-3 record.

Montreal, meanwhile, is sixth in the Atlantic Division with an 8-8-1 record.
