Financing startup Klub on boards Anuj Berry as entrepreneur in residence

Revenue-based financing startup Klub has brought on board Anuj Berry as an entrepreneur in residence. In his new role, Berry would be responsible for driving key global initiatives for the company.

“Our aim is to become India’s most loved capital platform and we are excited to have Anuj join us to further this mission. With his deep understanding of building and scaling brands, he will expand our portfolio of offerings for loved brands and tap global scale,” said Ishita Verma, cofounder and COO at Klub.

In his previous stint, Berry led ‘Amazon Launchpad’ as the programme leader in Amazon India. Amazon Launchpad is a premium global programme that enables startups and emerging brands to build, launch and scale online while accelerating Amazon customers’ access to differentiated, high potential, cross category products.

He led a team of 70 employees and worked closely on launching 2800 brands since Launchpad’s inception.
“Digital commerce today is in a phase of a massive, disruptive growth story and Klub with its fast and flexible funding is creating a dent in the capital ecosystem. I look forward to being a part of its mission to innovate and unlock the potential of exponential growth for digital businesses,” said Berry.

Since its inception, Klub has funded over 350+ brands with over 725 investment rounds. The firm has raised $20 million in seed funding from Sequoia Capital India’s growth programme Surge, US-based Alter Global, Japan-based GMO Venture Partners, and 9Unicorns in 2021.
