Filmmaker Mansoor Khan to script Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan’s third film | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan clearly has busy days ahead. The star kid who is following in the footsteps of his superstar father is having a promising start to his Bollywood career with YRF‘s Maharaja and his home production’s Pritam Pyare under his belt. ETimes has now learnt that his next film will be written by none other than his uncle, filmmaker Mansoor Khan who has films like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Akele Hum Akele Tum, Josh and more successful films to his credit.
A source informs, “Mansoor Khan has shifted back to Mumbai from Coorg. He is is writing and developing the script of Junaid’s next film to be announced soon. This will be Junaid’s next after YRF’s Maharaja.”
This will be Mansoor Khan’s return to Bollywood after over 15 years. His last directorial was Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai starrer Josh in 2000. In 2008, he came on board as a co-producer for Imran Khan’s film Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na.
Mansoor had left films and had settled in Coorg, he has an organic farm in Coonoor. Calling Mansoor Khan ‘one of the finest filmmakers’ of Indian cinema, Aamir had once said that his cousin’s decision of not making films anymore is a ‘a huge loss’ to the industry. “I tried getting him back in films, but since the past 10 to 12 years, he had been deeply engrossed in something that he did not share with me,” Aamir had said at an event.
