The loyalty of many Wests Tigers fans is being severely tested following their disastrous start in the NRL this season.
Despite recruiting the likes of Api Koroisau [Panthers], Isaiah Papali’i [Eels] and John Bateman [Wigan] in the off-season, the toothless Tigers have lost their first six games.
It follows ‘winning’ the wooden spoon last year – and some supporters of the struggling joint venture outfit have had enough.
Tigers fan Kelly Hollis tweeted an image of her 40-year-old husband – a Tigers fan from the age of nine – wearing a red Dolphins hat while walking the family dog on Saturday.
‘It honestly broke my heart,’ the accompanying post read – and it clearly resonated with many fellow fans.

Clayton Johns – also a long suffering Tigers supporter – shared a video of him burning his jersey out of frustration.
Another responded with ‘everyone has a breaking point’, with a fourth stating ’50 year [Tigers] supporter here….I’m seriously thinking of doing the same.’
The Tigers – who have the bye this weekend – face the Sea Eagles, Panthers, Dragons and Rabbitohs in their next four games.
Alarmingly, many footy fans believe they will fail to chalk up a victory before the State of Origin period.
The TAB are also offering punters odds of $29 for the Tigers to be winless this season.
Eastern Suburbs was the last team – in 1966 – to go through a campaign without singing the team victory song.
