Fawad Khan’s mystery role in ‘Ms Marvel’ REVEALED; fans finally spot actor – Pics Inside – Times of India

After months of waiting, fans of actor Fawad Khan finally know some details about the mysterious role he is playing in the Marvel superhero series ‘Ms Marvel’.

The hunk made a blink-and-you-miss-it appearance in the fourth episode of the six-part series and fans can’t quite wait to see all that is in store. In the latest episode, the actor features in a vintage back and white family portrait that Kamala’s grandmother shows her.

Going by the series, Fawad’s secret role in the project will see him play the superhero Kamala Khan’s great-grandfather Hasan.

“You all don’t even know how happy I am. I know it’s just gonna be a small cameo but still, I am happy and actually quite emotional because I waited for so so so long to see him again onscreen,” said a fan in a tweet.

“Not to be dramatic or anything but I literally screamed when I see the picture of Fawad Khan really can’t wait to see my man in the show,” said another.

Keeping in mind Farhan Akhtar’s brief role in the series, a fan tweeted, “Fawad Khan bestie we need more than a photograph cameo plss.”

Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, one of the directors in the series, revealed at the red carpet event that the actor will indeed appear on-screen in the upcoming episodes. “I definitely got to work with Fawad Khan. He is one of those actors, incredibly versatile. But, at the heart of it, you when he comes on set and you call action, you get mesmerised watching him act. He is truly fantastic.”

Meanwhile, Bollywood fans were a bit disappointed that Akhtar’s role in the series ended with his character being killed off. But for the actor, it’s not the length of the role but the excitement to be a part of Marvel Studios’ first steps in the South Asian subcontinent that motivated him to join ‘Ms Marvel’.

“When I found out that the show was the very first step that Marvel is taking into the subcontinent, creating a subcontinent superhero that is going to represent our cultures and our people, I was very excited,” Akhtar told PTI in a virtual interview.

“I truly wanted to be a part of it because it is a landmark show. And I feel that it’s important because it’s diverse. There’s an incredible amount of cultural inclusivity that’s happening via the show,” he added.

Fans will have two more episodes of the series before they get to see the superhero take flight in the ‘Captain Marvel’ sequel ‘The Marvels’.
