Fast X‘, the latest instalment of the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise, has been declared a hit at the Indian box office. The film which enjoyed an early start at the box office this past weekend, is on track to cross the Rs 80 crore mark.
The film which began its box office run with a collection of Rs 12.50 crore on Thursday, saw good growth over its first weekend. The film earned an estimated Rs 13.75 crore on Friday and saw a bigger jump on Saturday with a collection of Rs 17 crore. The movie ended its first weekend on a high with a collection of Rs 17.50 crore.
According to the latest reports, the film held well on its first Monday, earning an estimated Rs 6.25 crore. With this, the total collection of the film now stands at an estimated Rs 67 crore.
The film has now registered a second box office hit for a Hollywood release in India after ‘John Wick Chapter 4′. ‘Fast X’ is already the highest-earning Hollywood release this year and has also surpassed the collections earned by ‘Fast 7’ which was the highest-earning film in the franchise.
Trade experts have predicted that Monday’s collections have assured that the film’s first week collections will now zoom past the Rs 80 crore nett mark and will cross the Rs 100 crore mark by the second week.
