In October 2021, Samantha had parted ways from Naga Chaitanya, after four years of marriage.
Last year, Samantha Ruth Prabhu had revealed that she had been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called myositis. Soon after there was buzz that Samantha may quit ‘Citadel’, the Indian version of Russo Brothers’ upcoming series. However, a source had cleared that the actress is not being replaced in the show and she soon started shooting for the same. The Indian version is being helmed by Raj and DK and features Varun Dhawan alongside Samantha. Revealing how Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden’s characters from the international series will connect with the Indian franchise, director Joe had said, “We’re going to be telling stories all over the world. And we have a production that just wrapped in Italy. We have another that’s about to start in India. So, you’re going to travel to every corner of the world on Citadel.”
