FA CUP PREDICTIONS: Mail Sport experts – including CHRIS SUTTON and MARTIN KEOWN have their say
Manchester City and Manchester United will go head-to-head at Wembley in the first Manchester derby FA Cup final.
Pep Guardiola’s side are on the hunt for a treble having already secured the Premier League title and a place in the Champions League final.
Meanwhile, United are not only hoping to crash the party but win their second trophy of the season after picking up the Carabao Cup in February.
The two teams have beat each other in the Premier League this season and it will be the first time they meet in the famous competition since their third round clash in 2012.
Below, Mail Sport experts have their say on who will take the famous trophy back up north.
Manchester City will seek to strengthen their treble hopes against Manchester United
Erik ten Hag’s United are seeking to win their second trophy of the season at Wembley
CHRIS SUTTON: City 3-0 United
City’s stars have had their feet up so will be raring to go here and if they play anywhere near their best, they will win comfortably.
United have had an excellent season considering what Erik Ten Hag inherited but City should have too much for them on the day.
MICAH RICHARDS: City 2-1 United
City will dominate possession but I don’t think it will be a stroll in terms of getting the result.
I’ve watched the game between the sides in January again and the damage Marcus Rashford inflicted came when he ran through the middle from deep.
It will be interesting to see if Ten Hag occupies Kyle Walker with Alejandro Garnacho. City, though, have so many options and will see the job through.
Former striiker Chris Sutton has claimed City will cruise past Manchester United with ease
Ex-city defender Micah Richards does not think it will be an easy win for Manchester City
MARTIN KEOWN: City 3-1 United
City have reigned supreme throughout the season and the intensity of their rivalry will bring out the best of their football.
DALEY THOMPSON: City 3-1 United
They are said to be one of the greatest teams ever. By winning the FA Cup, and the small matter of the European Cup next weekend, they will at least be placed strongly in the argument.
NASSER HUSSAIN: City 3-0 United
City will win because they are one of the greatest football teams to ever play the game. And as an Arsenal fan I will feel better about missing out on the title if they win the treble!
SIR CLIVE WOODWARD: City 2-1 United
Pep Guardiola is a wonderful coach and this season I have marvelled at how his Manchester City side have peaked over the last three months.
Yes, Guardiola has had a lot of money to spend and there are question marks over his club’s finances, but drawing every ounce of performance from those players and constantly reinventing his team’s style takes something special.
He is the difference and is more important than any player. I think City will go on and win a historic treble.
Sir Clive Woodward believes Pep Guardiola is more important than any Man City player
SIR ALASTAIR COOK: City 3-1 United
City are too good and I just can’t see them losing.
LORD COE: City 3-1 United
Derbies are not always an exact science, particularly Manchester derbies. But City are arguably player-for-player the best Premier League team ever.
DAVID ‘BUMBLE’ LLOYD: City 3-1 United
I’ve spent much of my life living in Manchester — I’m old enough to go back to when City won the Cup in 1956 and Lancashire cricketer Jack Dyson scored one of the goals! But I’m completely neutral on Saturday.
As much as I’d like to go with the side of George Best, Bobby Charlton, Denis Law and Nobby Stiles, I can’t see beyond an emphatic City win.
BARRY FRY – Ex-Busby Babe, now Peterborough owner: City 2-3 United
No way will United let City do the treble.
ALVIN MARTIN – FA Cup winner with West Ham, 1980: City 1-2 United
My football brain tells me I’m wrong but my football instinct tells me that a surprise is in store
David Bumble’ Lloyd will be a neutral for the showdown but thinks City will win it
