EXCLUSIVE! Kailas Menon opens up on his upcoming project ‘Vaashi’ starring Tovino Thomas and Keerthy Suresh, deets inside – Times of India

‘Vaashi’ is an upcoming film directed by Vishnu G Raghav and actors Tovino Thomas and Keerthy Suresh will be playing prominent lead roles in the film. The music of the film is done by Kailas Menon and recently in an exclusive interview with ETimes, the talented composer opened up on his upcoming ventures ‘Vaashi’ and the film ‘Kothth’ which is directed by Sibi Malayil and has the actors Asif Ali, Nikhila Vimal, Roshan Mathew playing major lead roles.

When asked about the music of ‘Vaashi’, Kailas Menon replied by saying: “ Currently the composing works of the three songs in the film are completed and the shoot of the film is currently going on. The song composition that I have done for ‘Vaashi’ is really unique and different from all of my previous works and I am really excited about what the audience reaction would be after listening to those tracks. I am trying to showcase a different style of music composition in ‘Vaashi’ and after hearing to tracks one would wonder if the composition is done by me itself, it’s totally a different shade of me.” When asked about what the genre of ‘Vaashi’ is, Kailas Menon, replied: “ you cant specify it as a single genre, its a kind of realistic film based on the happenings in our day-to-day life or you can say it as a courtroom drama.”.

Coming to the film ‘Kothth’, Kailas Menon said that there is a total of four songs in the film and one of the songs is sung by K.S Chithra and K.S Harisankar. Other songs in the film are sung by Job Kurian, K.K Nishad, Sruthy Sivadas, Akbar Khan, etc. On the work front, Kailas Menon has several ambitious projects in the pipeline such as the films ‘Member Rameshan 9am Ward’, ‘Kallan D’Souza’, Telugu remake of ‘Theevandi’ etc.
