Ex-NFL cornerback Vontae Davis has been arrested in Florida for driving under the influence and causing a crash that resulted in a pedestrian being rushed to hospital. 

A spokesperson for the Florida Highway Patrol told TMZ that first responders arrived at the scene of a car crash involving two vehicles on State Road 821 on Saturday, February 4, at around 7.51 a.m.

One of the first things they noticed was significant damage to the front and back of Davis’ black Tesla while a bronze pickup truck – a Toyota – suffered damage to its rear end.

Later, in its report of the incident, police said that Davis, 34, had lost control of his vehicle and caused the crash. Authorites also reported that there was enough force from the collison for the pickup truck to hit a pedestrian nearby. 

The stroller was immediately rushed to phospital with multiple injuries. The person’s identity has not yet been revealed by local law enforcement.

Florida Highway Patrol also said that they first found Davis laying down on the side of the road, sleeping.
