Former Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. produced his share of moments to remember on the gridiron but few can compare to his extraordinary act of bravery on Monday in Gulfport, MS.

Armstrong’s neighbors were inside their home in the state’s south when he first noticed the fire and decided to act.

‘I saw a bunch of smoke so I just started grabbing bricks and throwing it through the window,’ Armstrong told WLOX

‘So I crawled in there, grabbed her and got her out. At the end of the day, I was just trying to find her. I’ve known her since I was a little kid.’
