Ex-Man United star Gary Neville FUMES at ’embarrassing’ Glazer family

Gary Neville FUMES at ’embarrassing’ Glazer family for dragging out the sale of Man United… claiming long delays after bids from Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are ‘fitting with how they have operated for 20 years’

Gary Neville has once again ripped into the Glazer family, labelling Manchester United’s owners as ’embarrassing’ for dragging out the sale of the club.

The club and its fans are currently waiting to hear whether Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani or British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe have won what has become a long-running battle for control.

Mail Sport understands no preferred bidder has yet been selected and even when one is, as many as 12 more weeks could be needed to get the sale over the line, something which has irked Neville.

“Embarrassing,’ he told BBC 5Live.

‘But it’s what they have done, drag everything out, it’s always in their best interests. Fans not being updated by owners on the ownership sale is not good enough, but fitting with how they have operated for 20 years now.’

More to follow.
