BAFTA has promised a “refreshed production and format” for 2023, and confirmed that, for the first time in its history, the night will end with the winners for the final four categories—best actor, best actress, best director, and best film—being announced live on air. (In the past, the full BAFTAs ceremony has been prerecorded on the same night and broadcast with a delay.) The organization added that “the production will be bolstered by two hosts, leading the ceremony from the auditorium and a new BAFTA Backstage Studio [that] will offer viewers a 360-degree viewing experience [with] interviews from past and present winners, nominees and presenters.”
So, who will host the BAFTAs 2023?
On January 16, the organization revealed that Oscar and BAFTA nominee Richard E. Grant would host the ceremony, while presenter Alison Hammond would take the lead in the BAFTA Backstage Studio. Meanwhile, film critic Ali Plumb and broadcaster Vick Hope will host the red carpet show.
