EPFO website buggy; Users request help as EPF Nominee filing deadline closes

The EPFO website is ridden with bugs. Users urge the EPFO to fix errors as deadline to file nominee approaches.

The EPFO portal is reportedly full of bugs and issues. Several pension holders with the Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) have taken to social media to complain about the errors and other issues they are witnessing while trying to file their nominee for their EPF account ahead of the deadline.

EPFO is yet to respond to the multiple complaints on social media portals. However, there seems to be no respite for those who are yet to file their nominees successfully on the portal. Note that the the last day to file a nominee for your EPF account is December 31, 2021.

EPFO website shows error ahead of nominee filing

The EPFO website is yet to fix the error and those are stuck with the error message are pleading for assistance on social media portals. Note that those failing to file their EPF nominees will not be eligible for all the benefits for the next year.

“It is critical for subscribers to register nominations to care for their spouse, children, and parent, to safeguard them through online PF, pension and insurance,” says EPFO. Filing nominees comes in handy when the account holder does not exist and all the money is transferred to the nominees mention on the EPF portal.

“There’s an error in fetching eNomination details at all times I log in to the site to add mine whether morning, noon or night. I use the latest version of the Chrome browser. Can @socialepfo advise accordingly please?” wrote one user.

Another user wrote, “I have been trying to file my e-nomination for the past 2 days but i keep getting this error. How can someone complete e-nomination by 31st Dec if the website doesn’t work ?”

“Tried on Chrome, Firefox, and Chrome mobile, E-Nominations page is not working. The site is so damn slow. That’s how govt. sites work. Pathetic experience,” writes another user.

The EPFO is yet to come up with a solution and the only response given so far is, “Thanks for sharing/updating us. We are taking the matter with the concerned IT Desk to check the same.”
