England kick off Group B on the tournament’s opening day against Iran, a side they have never faced in a senior competitive international.

If England finished top of the Group B then next up would be the runner-up from Group A, likely to be African campions Senegal or Holland in the last 16.

The winner of the tie between the winner of Group D featuring France and Denmark and the runner-up of Group C from Argentina, Mexico, Poland and Saudi Arabia.
The winners of Group F and Group H could find their way to the semi-finals to meet England should they get this far, which means a possible semi-final between England and Belgium or Portugal.
And if the Three Lions could reach the final on December 18 then it could be Spain, Germany or Brazil.

The second scenario is if England finished second in their group.
Senegal or Holland could sill lie in wait in the last 16 before a possible quarter-final against the runner up of Group D from France, Denmark and Tunisia, Peru/Australia/UAE and the winner of Group C from Argentina, Mexico, Poland and Saudi Arabia.
Spain, Germany or Brazil would be likely semi-final opponents on this side of the draw to reach the final on December 18.
