Twitter offering incentives to woo advertisers
The news comes soon after a media report suggested that Twitter has offered a new incentive to advertisers wherein the company will match advertisers’ ad spending up to $250,000.
As per The Wall Street Journal report, Twitter is “dangling free ad space by offering to match advertisers’ ad spending up to $250,000.”
“The full $500,000 in advertising must run by February 28,” the report mentioned, citing internal emails. In December, Twitter had announced $500,000 in free ads in exchange for spending $500,000 on the platform.
The microblogging platform also announced that it was planning to “expand” the political advertising it allows “in the coming weeks” – which could help the company reduce its losses.
