Ekta Kapoor shares video of her ‘Gehraiyaan’ moment: ‘Wanna throw someone off the boat’

Ekta Kapoor has shared a new video from a boat that she jokingly called her ‘Gehraiyaan’ moment. The producer-director took to her Instagram account on Thursday to share a slow-mo clip that showed her on a boat in the middle of the sea. She compared the video to Shakun Batra’s recently-released film Gehraiyaan, which featured several scenes on a yacht. Sharing the video, Ekta wrote, “My Gehraiyaan moment.” She further made a reference to a scene in the movie that showed a fight between Siddhant Chaturvedi’s character Zain and Deepika Padukone’s character Alisha. She wrote, “ESP (especially) the one where you wanna throw someone off the boat.”

Ekta had previously penned a review on the film, that also starred Ananya Pandey, Dhairya Karwa, Naseeruddin Shah, and Rajat Kapoor. She gave the drama a rating of 4/5, and wrote, “So I think this deserves a post! I saw #gehraiyaan and post all the polarised views I was sure I won’t like it! A nudge from my sensible friends and I delved into it with skepticism!!! And then the movie happened!!! What an unimaginable journey. I got the many bad choices @deepikapadukone makes as we all do!!”

Ekta added, “The outwardly calm and the tumultuous inside beautifully conveyed by waves! So my two bits is I went in to see a film about infidelity and got a film about trauma baggage bad choices and outcomes! I loved it congrats,” she wrote, adding that Deepika and Ananya performed better in the film as compared to their male co-stars.

Ekta’s recent clip recorded on a boat comes soon after she shared a video consisting of a series of pictures and clips made on it with her friends. “What fun memories,” she captioned the video, that showed her hanging out with Sapna Pabbi, Ridhi Dogra, Sussanne Khan among others.
