‘Ek Villain Returns’ box office collection first weekend: John Abraham-Arjun Kapoor starrer scores Rs 22 crore – Times of India
‘Ek Villain Returns’ has fetched the most business from the UP circuit, followed by Gujarat and Bihar markets. It remains to be seen how the film sails through the weekdays. Interestingly, the weekend business of ‘Ek Villain Returns’ has surpassed the lifetime business of big releases like ‘Radhe Shyam’, ‘Attack’, ‘Jersey’ and ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’. Directed by Mohit Suri, this film is a sequel to 2014 thriller ‘Ek Villain’.
Arjun Kapoor’s character in ‘Ek Villain Returns’ sports a bunch of tattoo and the actor had penned a note about the same social media. Sharing a glimpse of his tattooed body, Arjun wrote, “I got to sport such insane tattoos that define my character and personality in the film. Getting inked holds a different meaning for everyone, for me it was always about imprinting a part of your soul on to your body. With this film, I can safely say that I have been reunited with my love for body art and I thank Mohit Suri for covering me with tattoos that I will cherish forever. I already have 3 tattoos. Time to maybe get 1 more.”
