‘Ek Villain Returns’ box office collection: Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria starrer maintains a steady graph on its second weekend – Times of India

John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria starrer ‘Ek Villain Returns’ was released recently and it received a mixed reaction from the audience and critics alike. The film ended its second weekend and enjoyed a decent run at the box office.

According to Boxofficeindia.com, the Mohit Suri directorial managed to hold up well on Friday but couldn’t push it further on Saturday. The film collected Rs 6.25 crore on its second weekend. It might be affected further since Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ are all set to release on August 11. The collections of ‘Ek Villain Returns’ to date are as follows:

Week One – 30,63,00,000

Friday – 1,50,00,000 apprx

Saturday – 2,00,00,000 apprx

Sunday – 2,75,00,000 apprx

Second Weekend – 6,25,00,000 apprx

TOTAl – 36,88,00,000 apprx

Meanwhile, Arjun recently spoke about getting noticed as an actor by filmmakers. He told PTI, “‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Farar’ was appreciated so much. There is a residual value of regard that there is an actor inside him and ( I hope) that will be tapped into by the directors. I think there is a positive momentum now. Hopefully, ‘Ek Villain Returns’ takes a step forward and ‘Lady Killer’ and ‘Kuttey’ (too) become strong.”
