Eddie Hearn in heated fan exchange immediately after Anthony Joshua defeat

‘What did you say? You s*** yourself now’: Eddie Hearn fires back at a fan after being called ‘p****’ while walking backstage immediately after Anthony Joshua’s defeat to Oleksandr Usyk

Eddie Hearn exchanged words with a boxing fan who yelled abuse at the boxing promoter immediately after Anthony Joshua’s defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.

Tensions were high after the disappointment of Joshua losing his heavyweight title belts to the classy Ukrainian at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night.

The Matchroom Boxing promoter was walking behind Joshua on their way back to the dressing rooms when the incident took place.

Footage has emerged of a fan shouting ‘Eddie, you pussy’ as the 42-year-old walked past where the camera was filming.

Hearn heard the abuse that was thrown his way and turned around looking far from pleased at the comment asking the person who shouted it ‘What did you say?’ four times.

After not getting a response the promoter then fired back: ‘You s*** yourself now’.

The clip then appears to show Hearn calling the fan a ‘p****’ back though the audio was not totally clear.

Hearn then turned back around and made his way back to the changing rooms as people behind the camera could be heard laughing at the altercation.

Joshua was outclassed by Usyk on Saturday night, as he suffered his second career defeat.

Hearn has confirmed Joshua will look to take on Usyk again in a rematch, with the hope that he can exact his revenge much in the same way that he did against Andy Ruiz Jr who handed the Brit his first career defeat.

The promoter said after the fight: ‘He will want to go back in that rematch, and he will be the underdog in that fight but he has just been beaten by a pound-for-pound great.

‘Joshua lives and breathes boxing, he is already talking about training again and he will be in the gym and ready to get back in again.

‘You can criticise Anthony Joshua, but he has just fought a great and he is fighting the very best, and tonight he came off second best.’
