Dulquer Salmaan & Jasleen Royal Interview: Heeriye, Mammootty, DDLJ, Sita Raman & More
Talking about the single, Dulquer mentioned that the song with Jasleen was like a little holiday for him. He shared, “A single is something that I haven’t done before and I was also coming from 6-7 months of shooting the same film (King of Kotha) so it was a welcome break for me.”
He also added that he never plans his career and goes with the flow. Dulquer stated that he liked the song that Jasleen presented and decided to be part of it.
Dulquer also revealed that he has an old connection with Jasleen, “My daughter, when she was an infant, would fall asleep only after listening to Jasleen’s Din Shagna Da. It was her lullaby.” He also added that when he was traveling to Spiti valley from Chandigarh for the shoot of Sita Ramam, he was listening to Ranjha from Shershah a lot.
The actor also revealed that he had a lot of fun shooting the single, Dulquer recalled that on one occasion Jasleen asked him if he had an extra half hour as the team wanted some extra shots and he was simply amused. Revealing more, the actor said, “In Malayalam films, you never know what time you are going home, they never tell you. And when you ask, you are told maybe 10… maybe 2 and it is also possible that it will go on throughout the night. Nothing is fixed, so when I was asked for 30 minutes, I was like of course! Take one hour.”
