Draymond Green is seemingly ready to hit the free agent market – and may end his time with the Golden State Warriors.

The four-time NBA champion has only ever played for the San Francisco franchise, but that could all change according to multiple reports citing his agent, Rich Paul.

Green is said to have turned down his $27.5million player option in favor of being an unrestricted free agent.

“We will continue to talk to Golden State and explore all options,” Paul told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The NBA insider said the move enables Green to still engage with the Warriors, and seek potential sign-and-trade deals, as well as the traditional free agency pathway.

Green has been an integral member of the greatest run in Warriors franchise history, helping Steph Curry and Co. deliver four titles to the Bay Area.

Throughout his 11 seasons with Golden State, Green has been both a lightning road — and occasional detracting force.

While his impact on the team has been far more positive than otherwise, his passion did inflict varying degrees of damage on Steve Kerr’s men.

Infamously, Green was suspended for Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals wherein the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Most recently, he knocked out teammate Jordan Poole prior to the 2022-23 season which sent shockwaves through the organization and NBA world.

The former Michigan State standout was taken in the second round of the 2010 by Golden State and is a four-time NBA All-Star.

Green was also the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2017. That season, he also led the league in steals.

He and the Warriors were bundled out of the most recent NBA playoffs by the Los Angeles Lakers in six games during the Western Conference semi-finals.
