Tim Kuniskis, the CEO of Dodge and an unofficial advocate for gas-powered muscle cars in America, expressed his nostalgia for traditional muscle cars but also his enthusiasm for the development of electric performance vehicles.

Despite the fact that the new Challenger Demon 170 gets only 13 miles per gallon in the city and 21 on the highway, Kuniskis believes that this will not be a concern for most buyers, even as the world faces the consequences of climate change.

The Demon 170 is designed for street use, despite the presence of wide racing tires. To make it more practical for daily driving, Dodge is offering a package of smaller, more street-friendly wheels and tires. The basic model comes at $96,666, however, with only a driver’s seat and a basic radio, but air conditioning is included.
