Doctor reveals how a patient cheated him with Rs 500 ‘Children Bank of India’ fake note
In a post on newly launched Meta’s Thread, Dr Vora, who describes himself as a health content creater said: “Recently, a patient actually made a cash payment for a consultation using this note. My receptionist didn’t end up checking it (coz frankly you don’t expect this, right?) but it goes to show the lengths people would go to, even if it means conning a doctor.”
“I refuse to believe they didn’t know about it either and just passed it along haan. Anyway, I had a good laugh and I’ve saved this note with me since it’s a fun memory, even though I have been robbed off of Rs 500,” he said.
His post drew a lot of reactions on Thread. “Nice gesture doctor… It takes much hardwork and years of study to charge a consultation fee of 500,” said an user.
Another user asked him: “Did you give him payment receipt to him or saved income tax?”
Another said: “Should we laugh or show you sympathy.”Some users blamed his receptionist for not spotting the fake note. In the photo of the note share by Dr Vora, the text “for project school use only” and “Children Bank of India.” could be easily seen. “It’s the staff’s responsibility equally I feel, the fake note being so prominent!” commented an user.
