Director Om Raut and Kriti Sanon’s goodbye kiss at Tirupati temple draws ire from BJP leader – Deets inside | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Team ‘Adipurush‘ including Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Om Raut released the final trailer of the film last night at Tirupati. On June 7, Om and Kriti were spotted at Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati.
While their presence already made headlines, they courted controversy when a video of Om kissing Kritig goodbye outside the temple premises went viral on social media. A BJP leader questioned the same and later deleted the tweet.

In the video that is doing the rounds on social media, the filmmaker can be seen kissing Kriti on her cheek as he bids her goodbye. This didn’t go down well with a section of netizens and BJP State Secretary Ramesh Naidu Nagothu, who commented against it.

He wrote, ‘Is it really necessary to bring your antics to a sacred place? @kritisanon @omraut. Engaging in public display of affection, like kissing and hugging, in front of the Lord Venkateswara Swamy Temple in #Tirumala is deemed disrespectful and unacceptable.’

Later, about his visit to the temple, director Om Raut said, “After coming to the temple, I feel extremely amazing. It felt nice. We had a great darshan today morning. Yesterday, we put out the trailer. It’s a mesmerising feeling and I cannot put it into words.”
‘Adipurush’ also stars Saif Ali Khan in a lead role. The film is slated to hit the theatres on June 16.
