‘Dimple Kapadia is fearless, that’s why it’s a joy working with her,’ says Homi Adajania – Exclusive – Times of India

Homi Adajania ventures into the world of OTT with his new web-series ‘Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo’ which begins streaming today. The series revolves around this bunch of women who are badass and all things fierce. It stars Dimple Kapadia, Isha Talwar, Angira Dhar among others.
Interestingly, Homi has worked with Dimple in ‘Cocktail’, ‘Finding Fanny’ and now ‘Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo’ and presented her so differently in each one of them. Talking about the joy of working with the ‘Bobby’ actress, Homi shares, “I love her and her spirit. I love her childlike approach to everything. It never ceases to amaze me. Every time she comes on set, it’s like she’s doing her first scene. She has the anxiousness of a first time actor every time and that’s what works for her. For me, it’s joyful working with Dimple Kapadia because she’s fearless. In real life, she’s elusive, she’s not someone who is accessible and that’s how she likes to keep her life since many years.”

However, Dimple and Homi share such a beautiful friendship and bond. The director reveals that he has no choice when it comes to her. It’s a given that he has to cast her for all his movies. “She sniffs out a project and she comes to me with all guns blazing saying, ‘What’s my role?’ There’s no choice with Dimple. It’s not like she’s my muse. It’s a straight gun to my head and a lot of profanity. It’s in full fear that I cast her every time.”
Dimple is also a part of Homi’s next ‘Murder Mubarak‘ which stars Sara Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Vijay Varma among others.
