Did you know Nawazuddin Siddiqui was not paid fees of Rs 2500 for Manoj Bajpayee-Raveena Tandon’s ‘Shool’? – Times of India
The actor played the role of a waiter who takes order from Manoj Bajpayee and Raveena Tandon in the film. Speaking about his struggle days, Nawazuddin revealed that he was promised Rs 2,500 for the role but he was not paid. So the actor figured a way to recover the money. He visited the office of the makers for nearly 6-7 months and since he visited them during the lunch hour they would offer him food. So Nawaz turned this into an advantageous opportunity and visited them during lunch time and got his money settled in 1-1.5 months.
Earlier this year, Nawazuddin Siddiqui bought his dream bungalow in Mumbai. His sprawling property boasts of plush interiors, envious greenery, multiple floors and is named after the actor’s father ‘Nawab’. Speaking about his extravagant new abode, Nawazuddin had shared, “Aaj jitna bada mera personal bathroom hai, utnasa mera ghar hua karta tha. When I moved to Mumbai, I stayed in such a small place, which I shared with four other budding actors. Woh kamra itna chhota tha ki agar main door kholu toh kisi ke pairon mein lag jata tha, because, we all used to lay our beds on the floor when we slept there. Dheere dheere, I started sharing my room with three people, then with two, and it is only from 2005 that I started living alone.”
