Yes, you heard that right. The actress was the original choice for the 2016 film ‘Sultan’. Later, the film went on to feature Anushka Sharma. Talking about Mrunal, Salman Khan said that she had come to the farm to meet him with the director.

The actress was rejected mainly because she did not have the right physique for it. In the end, Salman mentioned how he always knew Mrunal would do well in the film industry.

Last week, the makers of ‘Jersey’ pushed back the release of the film indefinitely amid the rising COVID cases and cinemas being asked to shut in the capital. The makers issued a statement, “In view of the current circumstances and new covid guidelines we have decided to postpone the theatrical release of our film Jersey. We have received immense love from you all so far and want to thank you all for everything. Until then everyone please stay safe and healthy, and wishing you all the best for the new year ahead!! Team Jersey!!”

The film also stars Pankaj Kapur in a pivotal role. The film is an adaptation of a 2019 Telugu film and has been directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.
