Did Ranbir Kapoor recreate his ‘Saawariya’ towel scene in ‘Shamshera’?- WATCH – Times of India

Ranbir Kapoor is set to melt away his chocolate boy image and embrace his dark side as the legendary decoit in the upcoming film ‘Shamshera’.

The teaser that dropped on Wednesday, gave fans glimpses of the star’s raw, rugged and vengeful side, while also setting him up as an action hero in this film set in the 1800s. Despite the stunning visuals and over-the-top action sequences, some eagle-eyed fans caught a fleeting glimpse of Ranbir also showcasing his romantic side in the teaser.

Slowing down the tempo of the background music, a fan shared a clip that proves Ranbir may have recreated his iconic ‘Saawariya’ towel scene once again in the upcoming actioner. “Like some deja vu…” the fan captioned the post that saw RK holding up a cloth as he danced in the bylanes. The clip then cuts to a clip of RK’s iconic scene in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film.

‘Saawariya’ marked RK’s Bollywood debut opposite Sonam Kapoor. The hunk made headlines when he dared to bare all in the scene that set him up as one of the industry’s biggest romance heroes.

Besides action, ‘Shamshera’ is also set to have an element of romance, Ranbir confirmed in an interview with PTI. “A true blue Hindi film has everything- comedy, action, romance drama. And all these films I am doing are all in that direction, we are trying to have all these factors in it,” he said.

The film’s trailer is set to drop online tomorrow. Also starring Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles, ‘Shamshera’ is slated to hit the big screens on 22 July 2022.
