Dharmendra says him and Shabana Azmi didn’t feel awkward while shooting the kissing scene in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani’, says it wasn’t forced | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Karan Johar’s big directorial, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani‘ released on Friday. The film is a love story between Rocky and Rani who come from different backgrounds and are starkly different from each other. They then start living with each other’s family to see how they adjust to the cultural differences. But what has left everyone surprised is to see Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi share a kiss in the film.

Those who’ve seen the film have cheered during that kiss as it was quite unexpected. But now the cat is out of the bag as this kiss scene has gone viral on the internet. In a recent interview with News18, Dharmendra has opened up on this kiss. He said that he’s hearing that Shabana and him have left the audience surprised with the kissing scene which has been applauded by them. Maybe, people weren’t expecting it and that’s why it created such an impact. The veteran actor recalled that the last time he did a kissing scene was in ‘Life In A Metro’ with Nafisa Ali and even that time, people had appreciated it.
Dharmendra has further revealed that he didn’t get excited when Karan narrated the scene to him. Rather, both Shabana and him understood that it was something which was needed and not forcefully put in the movie. He agreed to do it because there is no age for romance. Age is just a number and two people irrespective of age will show their love for each other by kissing. The actor added that both of them didn’t feel awkward because it was aesthetically shot.

The actor also shared some pictures with his co-stars on social media and said that it was a pleasure for him to work with them.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani had a decent start at the box office as it made around 11 crores on its opening day.
