Dez Bryant sounds like he’s considering another comeback attempt
At 33 years old, Dez Bryant wants to make another NFL comeback, this time with the Arizona Cardinals.
After only playing in six games since the 2017 NFL season, former Pro Bowl wide receiver Dez Bryant wants to make another comeback, preferably to play with Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals.
They may cheer for rival teams on the other side of Bedlam, but Bryant is very fond of all that is going down in The Valley. He told TMZ Sports he wants to play in the NFL this season, hoping to sign with the NFC West contenders. “Kyler, the coach — I love the swagger over there,” said Bryant to TMZ Sports. “I just love the guys, especially DeAndre Hopkins — that’s my boy. We real close.”
Bryant last played for the Baltimore Ravens in 2020. He spent his first eight NFL seasons out of Oklahoma State with the Dallas Cowboys, a team he made three trips to the Pro Bowl playing for, including an All-Pro season in 2014.

Bryant may only be 33 years old, but he has precisely six catches for 47 yards and two trips to pay dirt since turning 30. Yes, that may have come in a run-first offense in Baltimore during a pandemic season, but the past is the best indicator of future performance. Bryant may not be for everyone, but if he is willing to take on a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver role, why not go to the Cardinals?
Bryant’s former teammate Hollywood Brown was traded to the Cardinals during the draft. He had requested a trade out of Baltimore twice over the last two offseasons. He reunites with his college teammate in Murray, hoping to help the Cardinals be the third team in a row do what was once thought impossible: Win a Super Bowl in one’s home stadium. Super Bowl 57 will be in Glendale.
Arizona may play in the same NFC West as the Los Angeles Rams, but the Cardinals should be one of the five or six best teams in the NFC again in 2022. They have the talent to win the division and go on a deep playoff run. However, Murray has to play infinitely better than how he did on Wild Card Weekend in that unmitigated disaster for him vs. none other than those divisional rival Rams.
Bryant to the Cardinals is more of a news story than anything, but he might have something left.
