Delhi news: Fire broke out in DCM building at Connaught Place. Watch video

A fire broke out on the 9th floor of the DCM building in Connaught Place and 10 fire tenders rushed to the spot. The firefighters are currently trying to control the fire while more details are awaited. The fire officials informed that they received information about the fire around 6:20 PM after which 7 to 8 fire tenders were sent to the spot. The officials added that the fire is on the ninth floor of the DCM building at Barakhamba Road.

Pranav Tayal, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in New Delhi, stated that a fire had erupted on the ninth floor of the DCM building, which houses an office of the PNB bank. “Fire tenders have rushed to the spot and efforts are being made to douse the fire. As of now, no input of anyone being trapped in the building is there,” Tayal said.

The officials also informed that no injuries were reported in the incident. 

Firefighters were seen using a crane to spray water onto the ninth floor in an attempt to extinguish the fire, as shown in the visuals. According to fire officials, the blaze was successfully brought under control at 8:35 pm, and currently, the cooling process is in progress.
