Recently, Alia Bhatt, who gave birth to her first child with husband Ranbir Kapoor on November 6, took to her insta handle to reveal that they have named their daughter Raha. The proud mother wrote, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings… Raha, in its purest form means divine path
in Swahili she is Joy,

In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan,

In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief,

in Arabic peace,

it also means happiness, freedom & bliss.
And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it ALL! ❤️

Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun. ☀️☀️☀️”

Soon after this post, several celebrities congratulated the new parents, with Ranbir’s cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan excitedly commenting that she can’t wait to hold Raha in her arms. Others like Neetu Kapoor, Soni Razdan and Shweta Bachchan Nanda too, dropped heartwarming reactions. Even Priyanka Chopra dropped a comment saying “God Bless Raha” with a heart-eyed emoji.

On the other hand, Alia’s Gully Boy co-star Ranveer Singh posted a string of heart and evil eye emojis, heaping love on Raha. His wife Deepika Padukone, along with Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal and others liked the post.

Alia is currently on a maternity break, but will soon be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh. She also has Zoya Akhtar’s Jee Le Zara with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif in her kitty.
