With a long list of films keeping her tied down on the film sets, we have learnt that the actress will be heading out on a quiet getaway for the festive season. We got word that Deepika will celebrate the festival of lights with those closest to her – her family.
A source close to the actress shares, “This year Deepika is going to celebrate Diwali with her family but away from home. She has taken a small and much-deserved getaway with her family and will resume work post this. She always tries to keep the festival time for her family.”
Those keeping up with the Padukones will know that they love spending the festive season together. If not cuddling up together in Bengaluru, the family is known to jet out of the country on some exotic vacations together.
In a recent post, she revealed what Diwali was like for her and even shared a fun fact with fans. Stating the importance of the festival to her family, she pointed out how all the names in her family – Prakash, Ujala, Anisha and Deepika – mean light.
On her return to the big city, Deepika will dive back into work on ‘Pathan’ with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. She also has ‘Fighter’ with Hrithik Roshan, Nag Ashwin’s next with Prabhas, Shakun Batra’s untitled film, ‘The Intern’ remake and her home production ‘Draupadi’. She will also soon join hubby Ranveer Singh to promote their film ’83 that is slated for a Christmas 2021 release.
