Danone proposes Sanjiv Mehta’s appointment as independent director – Times of India

MUMBAI: Sanjiv Mehta, who retires as CEO & MD of Hindustan Unilever (HUL) by June 26, this year, has been proposed to be inducted on the board of global foods and beverage company, Danone, as independent director.
Danone said in a statement, that the proposed appointment if approved at Danone’s Shareholders’ Meeting on April 27, will mark the full renewal of the board.
Mehta will then join the Danone board effective July 1, 2023.
In a statement, Gilles Schnepp, Chairman of Danone’s Board of Directors, said: “The proposed appointment of Sanjiv Mehta is another positive step forward for Danone, and will mark the swift and full renewal of Danone’s Board.
