D’Angelo Russell tries to promote his ‘Coco5’ partner again

Los Angeles Lakers star D’Angelo Russell tried to promote his ‘Coco5’ partner again during a press conference.

Just weeks after winding up press staff the basketball guard was at it again as he faced the media following the Lakers’ playoff win over the Golden State Warriors on Friday.

Russell slyly put a ‘Coco 5’ drinks bottle down on the press conference table as he took his seat in front of the microphone.

But the NBA press staff member – the same spokesperson from Russell’s attempt last month – quickly spotted his move and removed the bottle.

The Lakers player shook his head as the drink was taken off the table and lifted his shades to look at her before questions were asked.

But his promotion attempt was quickly spotted by press staff member weeks after first effort

‘That drink, put it down,’ an NBA press staff member said to him in April.

He asked why, with the league employee saying: ‘Because it’s not one of our partners.’ 

Russell then quipped: ‘It’s my partner, you gonna have to fine me,’ before plugging the brand. 

The NBA worker walked over to take the bottle off the table with Russell adding: ‘You’re gonna have to take it.’

Russell faced the media after the Los Angeles Lakers eliminated the Golden State Warriors

As the Lakers star wrapped up his press conference he then proceeded to promote the ‘Coco 5’ brand by repeating it several times down the microphone. 

Russell did the same on Friday, saying ‘Coco 5’ at the end of the press conference.

The press staff member responded with ‘thank you’ and ‘let’s go’.

Russell and the Lakers eliminated the reigning NBA champions after a 122-101 victory at Crypto.Com Arena.
