Danfoss unit starts production line for hydrostatics in India
Eaton Fluid Power Ltd., a member of Danfoss Group, has started an all-new production line for hydrostatics at its facility in Pimpri, Pune, to cater to the demand of the local agriculture sector, the company said.
“Danfoss is the first organisation to have manufacturing capability of hydrostatics transmission solutions in India,” the company said in a statement.
“Danfoss has a long and proud history in India, and the addition of our locations in Pimpri and Magarpatta will add to our footprint and further opportunities in India, a market which will see significant investments from Danfoss in the years to come, given its immense growth potential,” said Eric Alstrom, President of Danfoss Power Solutions.
“Our strategic investments towards digitalisation is showing great results and the new hydrostatics production line is a testimony to that. We are positive that our customers will receive an unmatched level of service and expertise from us and be well positioned to cater to the increasing demand from India market”, he said.
The recent global acquisition of Eaton’s hydraulics business has strengthened Danfoss Power Solutions offerings, which now include the broadest selection of mobile and industrial hydraulics products and fluid conveyance solutions available in the market, the company said.
“This merger has established Danfoss as a global leader in mobile and industrial hydraulics, for the construction, agriculture, and other off-highway vehicle markets,” it added.
The addition of this new hydrostatics line will help improve the energy efficiency and sustainability quotient of applications where these solutions are deployed, it said.
Prasanna Kumar who leads Eaton Fluid Power Business in India said, “In line with the government’s vision towards ‘Make in India’, around 95% of all the products that are manufactured in our facility use materials and components that are made in India. The company aims to invest on increasing its product offerings in India and remains firm on its mission to ensure a minimum of 75% localisation level for sourcing and manufacturing in future product lines.”
