Tom Brady has become the latest to send well wishes to Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin as he fights for his life in hospital.
The 24-year-old safety collapsed and received emergency medical treatment after colliding with Cincinnati Bengals’ Tee Higgins during the Monday Night Football game.
Hamlin was administered CPR on the field while surrounded by teammates, some of them in tears, as they shielded him from public view.

He was rushed to hospital with his mother Nina by his side, and a family representative has now revealed that he is ‘fighting’ but remains sedated and in a critical condition.
Higgins led the outpouring of support for the young player, tweeting that he ‘prays Hamlin will pull through’.
Brady sent his well wishes Tuesday morning, writing on his Twitter profile: ‘We’re praying for Damar and his family this morning in Tampa.

In a statement on Tuesday Hamlin’s family said: ‘On behalf of our family, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to Damar during this challenging time.
‘We are deeply moved by the prayers, kind words and donations from fans around the country.
‘We also want to acknowledge the dedicated first responders and healthcare professionals at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center who have provided exceptional care to Damar.
‘We feel so blessed to be part of the Buffalo Bulls organization and to have their support. We also want to thank Coach Taylor and the Bengals for everything they’ve done.
‘Your generosity and compassion mean the world to us. Please keep Damar in your prayers.’
