Customer Finds Bones In Veg Biryani At Restaurant, Complaint Registered

If there is one dish that Indians simply adore, it has to be biryani. In this one-pot delight, a mixture of aromatic rice is paired with meat, vegetables, spices and so much more. Food aggregator applications such as Swiggy and Zomato even reported that biryani was the most-ordered item in the year 2022. Biryani fans would argue that the traditional biryani recipe contains meat, and thus ‘vegetable biryani’ or ‘vegetarian biryani’ is not a thing at all. However, one customer at a restaurant in Indore was left shocked after he found bones in his vegetable biryani order. The customer, Akash Dubey, then complained that he had not been served vegetarian food at all.

As per reports, the incident happened on Monday at a restaurant in the Vijay Nagar area of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Mr. Dubey placed an order for vegetarian biryani at the restaurant. However, he spotted bones in his food and immediately brought it to the notice of the restaurant manager and staff. They apologised to him for the issue with the vegetarian biryani. Nevertheless, the customer decided to register an official complaint or FIR at the nearest police station.

“Vijay Nagar police has registered an FIR under Section 298 against the restaurant manager Swapnil Gujrati. At present, the matter is being investigated, after which further action will be taken,” Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sampat Upadhyay told ANI.
