Crystal Palace have reportedly been told they will have to pay West Bromwich Albion just £900,000 for Nathan Ferguson following a tribunal that took place this week. 

West Brom will be disappointed with the result of the tribunal considering they had initially agreed deal worth £8million in January 2020 for the midfielder.

However, a knee-related issue was picked up in his medical and the two clubs were forced back to the table to discuss how to proceed with the deal.

The committee – who came together 13 months after Ferguson’s move – decided that Crystal Palace would only have to pay £900,000 for the youngster.   

Additionally, West Brom have no right appeal the decision and will have to accept the lower price.  

Ferguson has not played a game for Palace since his arrival in July 2020 – having arrived with a knee injury and torn his Achilles in May.   

Nevertheless, it is understood that Palace will stand by the young defender as they still believe he will have a bright future in the game.
