CreateCOP27 Open Call Invites Artists to Respond to the Climate Emergency

Renowned creative agency Art Partner has launched #CreateCOP27, an open call that wants to elicit conversations about the urgent need for climate justice and raises awareness about the important decisions being made at the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2022.

At a time when world leaders will gather for the annual United Nations Convention on Climate Change, Art Partners encourages artists and creatives of all nationalities, races, genders and faiths, aged 14-30, to submit work that responds to the urgent need for climate action.

Eight finalists will receive cash prizes of $10,000, $5,000 or $2,000. In addition, 20 other creatives will receive honourable mentions from a globally recognized jury of industry experts and leaders in the fields of art and science, composed by Lidia Brito (UNESCO Regional Director for Southern Africa), Giovanni Testino (Founder of Art Partner), Hans Ulrich Obrist (Curator Serpentine Galleries), Ferdinando Verderi (Creative Director), Marcelo Vieira (Professional Sportsperson) and Shaway Yeh (Founder of yehyehyeh).

Applicants may apply in any medium, including, but not limited to, photography projects, documentary and experimental style film, performance art, spoken word, musical compositions, fashion, design, new media, and social media projects. Registration closes on October 16, 2022.

All finalists and honourable mentions will see their work displayed in a virtual exhibition hosted by artpartner.com and will be featured on @artpartner’s Instagram (362k followers).
