Court asks Armaan Kohli to pay Rs 50 lakh to his ex girlfriend Neeru Randhawa as settlement | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Actor Armaan Kohli who is known more for his stint on Bigg Boss, was recently asked by the the Bombay High Court either to pay Rs 50 lakh to his former girlfriend Neeru Randhawa as settlement in the 2018 assault case against him or he would be sent to prison.
Neeru was allegedly assaulted on 3rd June, 2018 by Armaan and pushed down a flight of stairs. She also alleged that he banged her head on the floor and she had to get 15 sutures for her injury. An FIR was registered by the police andKohli was arrested. Soon all parties reached a consensus and Kohli handed over a demand draft of Rs 50 lakh as full and final settlement to Neeru.
As part of the settlement, she was to receive another Rs 50 lakh after the proceedings were over. So two more cheques of Rs 50 lakh were given by Kohli which had been signed by Kohli’s brother. But the cheques were dishonored and Neeru came back to court asking for the case to be resurrected against Kohli.
On Tuesday, Advocate Kushal Mor appearing for Neeru in the assault case took the court through the judgment by which the FIR was quashed. He also said that Kohli had in fact sent a notice to his own lawyer stating that the cheques were obtained by fraud and that he never intended to honour the cheques.
The court has asked Kohli’s lawyer to ask him to make a decision and let them know by July18th.
