Cops find possible murder weapon used in slaying of Manhattan dog walkers
As cops continue to hunt for the fugitive they believe executed two Manhattan dog walkers, the wanted man’s friend’s home was raided, where cops found a gun thought to be the murder weapon, police said Tuesday.
Officers executed a search warrant at the Glendale, Queens, home on 74th St. near 62nd St. where Adam Micek, 31, lives, Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said in a Tuesday news briefing.
In Micek’s basement apartment at his mother’s home, police found him to be in possession of multiple weapons, more than 10 pounds of marijuana and numerous rounds of ammunition.
Micek, on federal probation for conspiracy to commit wire fraud, was found to be in possession of multiple weapons and numerous marijuana products, according to a criminal complaint.
Along with the illegal weapons and drugs were Lenue Moore’s ID and clothing stuffed into a bag, Kenny said.
Moore, 31, is wanted for the last month’s shooting deaths of Jacqueline Billini, 57, and Levaughn Harvin, 42, according to cops.
One of the guns recovered in Micek’s apartment is being tested as the possible murder weapon used in the slayings, police said.
After a long-standing beef, Moore is accused of sneaking up on Billini and Harvin near the corner of W. 165th St. and Edgecomb Ave. around 6:30 p.m. Sept. 29 and shooting both of them in the head.
Also shot dead was one of Billini’s dogs — which apparently sent Moore of the deep end earlier this year.
In April, he kicked in the his next-door neighbor Billini’s door. Armed with a hammer, he threatened the woman and her family over her hound’s barking, according to charges filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.
