Congress high command, Punjab CM conspired to kill PM: Sarma
In poll-bound Punjab ,Modi was on his way to Ferozepur to lay the foundation stone of several projects when his convoy was stuck on a flyover for 15-20 minutes as a group of protesters took the route.
Sarma while addressing media persons in Guwahati said, “The event was not spontaneous but it was planned, conspired and sponsored with the sole objective to kill the Prime minister.”
Assam chief minister added that a television channel has done a sting operation where DSP has stated that he had the wind of the protest and protestors plan with intention to disrupt the PM’s tour and accordingly he has informed SSP about the life threatening move of the protestors. “The officer had informed us that it was not farmers but Khalistanis who were waiting to disrupt the tour.”
Sarma said, “Even the SHO has corroborated that there was no instruction from the higher ups on how to deal with the protestors. No responsibility was entrusted. Due to bad weather helicopter travel was dropped and the road route was taken and this information was passed to the Khalistani protestors. How could they know the PM’s route and it was seen that wine shops were open in the area.”
Sarma said that the place of incident is 10km away from the Pakistan border. “It was within the range of drones, snippers and missiles. Chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi did not accompany or receive the Prime citing COVID-19 infection in a person close to his contact. However, the next day he addressed a press conference without a mask. Instead of informing the Prime minister or President about the incident, the Punjab chief briefed Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other party leaders.”
He added, “Even the chief secretary and DGP did not receive the Prime minister. This together with other evidence points Congress high command and Punjab chief minister pre planned the conspiracy to kill the PM.”
He said that remarks of several congress leaders were insensitive. “It is an international conspiracy and the Punjab chief minister is part of this conspiracy planned by the radicals. There must be a neutral investigation to probe the whole incident. When the Supreme Court took up the case, the chief minister started taking action. As per intelligence report over one lakh people were likely to gather in the PM’s programme.”
Stating that people will take account of the Congress party, he said, “How can a democratically elected government be a part of such conspiracy. Law and order is a state subject and it is the duty of the state government to ensure that the PM reaches the ground.”
