Commonwealth Games 2022: Wrestling events halted after speakers fall from ceiling
Only five bouts could be completed when a speaker, used to relay announcement, fell near one of the mat chairmen, raising a safety issue at the Ceventary stadium and arena on the opening day of the wrestling competitions.
“We are taking a short pause for a safety check and will resume action once we receive the go-ahead,” United World Wrestling tweeted. United World Wrestling is the international governing body for all wrestling styles practiced around the world.
